Congratulations, Accepted Students!
Hello, and welcome to our presentation for next steps for acceptance students. First, I want to say congratulations on your acceptance to the University of New Haven. That is a fantastic accomplishment. And we're so happy to be able to work with you throughout the admissions process. We're going to jump into the presentation for unique visit opportunities that we have for all of our excepted students.
The first is going to be our accepted student days, these are going to be on campus events where you can learn a lot more about the University of New Haven and your academic program and what it's like to be a University New Haven student. We have sessions with the deans, with your faculty members, with current students. You get to see campus as an accepted student, it's a really awesome opportunity to see what it's like to be a University of New Haven student in your specific program.
Now, we also have our Charter Day Program, which is essentially you are a Charger for a day, you come to campus, you shadow a current student in your academic program, have a meal with them, and you get to head home at the end of the day. It's a really awesome opportunity to see what it's like to be in classes, have a meal, eat on campus, and imagine yourself as a University New Haven Charger.
Now we also offer virtual financial aid events. If you're looking to get more information about your financial aid package the cost of attendance, we have virtual opportunities for you to learn more. And then finally, we have virtual study abroad information sessions. If you're looking to learn a little bit more about this many study abroad opportunities that we have here at U New Haven. You can register for all of these events with the link at the bottom of the screen newhaven.edu/visit.
Now as an accepted student, you have access to your Accepted Student Portal. Here you'll be able to view next steps and the enrollment process for you. Your acceptance letter, your scholarship letter, when you're ready to submit your enrollment fee, you can do that right on your Accepted Student Portal as well. And then finally, you can register for events that we discussed on the previous screen, you can access your accepted student portal by going to newhaven.edu/acceptedportal.
Now once you've made your decision and you are ready to be a Charter for the next four years, you can make your decision and submit your enrollment fee and housing deposit if you're looking to live on campus by May 1. This is the enrollment deposit deadline the national enrollment deposit deadline. So once you've made this decision and you submit your enrollment deposit, your accepted Student Portal automatically updates to your New Student Roadmap. Now this New Student Roadmap really is all the steps that you're going to need to get you ready for the fall semester. It's going to have your housing application if you're living on campus registration for SOAR or orientation program, billing information placement exams, health forms, all the things that are required in order to get you ready for the fall semester. And starting at the University of New Haven.
As I mentioned, we do have our SOAR, our New Student Orientation Advising and Registration program. It's held during the summer, you can register for it on your roadmap, more information about what actually occurs during that can be found at the URL at the bottom. But it is a great opportunity and require for incoming students to come to campus, you spend the night, and you'll learn a lot more not only about the University of Haven policies and procedures, but get your schedule. Meet students that are in your orientation group and who you'll be spending the next four years with. It's really an awesome opportunity and a lot of fun for students to come to campus and really start their charger experience.
Now if you wanted to give us a follow on social media to really see all the things that we're posting about, you can't all of our informations up on the screen. We also have class specific pages that you can follow on Facebook and Instagram. There are great opportunities to meet students in your program potential roommates and learn a lot more about what's going on on campus.
